Last year’s Wave Chaser Camps were epic, we scored a lot of really great sailing and I’m thrilled to add even more adventures to the 2026 calendar!
The premise of the week is simple: we chase the best wavesailing conditions along Ireland’s West Coast. If you’re keen to explore Ireland and experience its incredible waves, this is the week for you.
Why the Wave Chasers Camps ?
Here in Ireland we have some of the world's best wave sailing on offer. An abundance of beautiful down the line wave sailing with little to no crowds at most spots. I'm lucky to have traveled a lot of the world's top windsurf destinations and I have to say Ireland's magical west coast rivals anywhere in the world.. The tricky thing about Ireland is knowing when and where to be at an exact time, it can be tricky when we have so many options, thats where my experince of years chasing swells on Irelands west coast comes into hand. Over the years I have built up a strong knowledge for the spots and places that can provide some of the best Wavesailing and surfing on the planet.
Below are some photos from last year's Wave Chasers.
You don't need to spend the week studying Windguru, Windy and weather charts. That's my job.
I'll be monitoring wind, swell, tides and local conditions in the run-up to and throughout the week. We'll move to wherever offers the best and most suitable conditions for us. Meaning you can relax and enjoy the sailing,
Come and join a like-minded group of windsurfers as we go on the search !
Days consist of windsurfing, filming, driving, good food and good times with like minded people.

Possible spot check or drive to the day's location.

The main premise of this week is to score great sailing and live the search. This isn't like a normal windsurf coaching camp you may have joined before. The main focus is on chasing the best sailing conditions, but I'll of course provide coaching, advice and feedback throughout the week when you want it.
whether you want to improve your wave riding, bottom turns, top turns, jumps, wave selection, positioning or confidence in bigger conditions, I'll tailor the coaching around what you want to improve.
I / my filmer will film you throughout the week using a Lumix GH7 and a great long-range lens. This means we'll get some high-quality clips of your sailing for you to take home and learn from.
We'll also use the footage for coaching and analysis, so you can actually see what you're doing on the wave.
Where conditions allow, I'll also use a drone to capture aerial footage.
Limited Spaces : So please book early to avoid disappointment.
Autumn is my favorite time in Ireland. I can't wait to show you around the place I love the most and for us to score some epic sailing.

The key areas I will be keeping an eye on are Brandon Bay, Co.Clare, Co.Mayo, Co. Sligo, and North West Donegal.. with a whole lot lesser-known spots in between ;-)
As I'm sure you can understand, I won't be sharing all the spot details online, but rest assured I'll share my knowledge with you in person.
In my mind, an ideal week might look a little like this:
2–3 days around Brandon Bay
2 days around Magheroarty
1–2 days around Mayo towards Belmullet or Co. Sligo
The accommodation costs will be shared equally between the group. I will organise accommodation based on where the forecast takes us.
Expect Costs Roughly between 30 & 70 euro P/N give or take.
I recommend arriving the day before the camp begins. I'll confirm our starting location during the week before the camp once the forecast becomes clearer
I have a full rental service up and running. Please check out the below page for more info on my rentals. Also if you are joining one of my wave camps you will reicve a discount on rental
Because this is a true wave-chasing trip, we will be moving between locations depending on the forecast. Participants will therefore need access to a vehicle.
If you're flying in, I can help organise shared rental vans with other participants. You don't need to organise this alone — just let me know.
Often the Vans here are actually very good value, espcially when traveling as a group.
Please find some reference pricing below for 30+ drivers:
HERTZ VAN RENTAL:
1 week rental : Small van €250 -€300
Big Van €300 - €350
If you are interested in sharing a van let me know and I can organise it for you
