Last year’s Wave Chaser Camps were epic, we scored a lot of really great sailing and I’m thrilled to add even more adventures to the 2026 calendar!
The premise of the week is simple: we chase the best wavesailing conditions along Ireland’s West Coast. If you’re keen to explore Ireland and experience its incredible waves, this is the week for you.
Why do I love the Wave Chasers Camps ? Because I believe here in ireland we have some of the worlds best sailing on offer. Im lucky to have traveled a lot of the worlds windsurf destinations and I always dream back of home. I have to say the best windsurf waves I have ever seen have been on magic Irelands west coast. I have spent years chasing swells on Irelands west coast and over those years I have built up a strong knowledge for the spots and places that can provide some of the best Wavesailing and surfing on the planet.
Below are some photos from last years Wave Chasers
On this trip you can relax and enjoy the sailing, let me do all of the thinking, I will be searching through all forecasts to make sure we score the best locations. This won't necessarily be about chasing the 'biggest waves' but the best conditions on offer.
Days will consist of windsurfing, filming, driving, good food and good times with like minded people.
The main premise of this week is to score great sailing I will of course be offering coaching, Just let me know what you would like to work on, the sky is the limit !
I / My filmer film you using a Lumix Gh7 and a great lens. This means we will get some impressive clips for you to take home and to also learn from. I find the better camera helps so much when analysing all the little details. I have also recently bought a drone so we can get some clips of the light wind sessions we score.
Limited Spaces : So please book early to avoid disappointment.
Autumn is my favorite time in Ireland. I can't wait to show you around the place I love the most and for us to score some epic sailing.

It is impossible to call just now but the key area's I will be keeping an eye on are Brandon Bay, Co.Clare, Co.Mayo, Co. Sligo, and North West Donegal.. with a whole lot lessen known spots in between ;-)
As i'm sure you can understand I won't be sharing all the spot details online but rest assured i will share my knowledge with you in person.
In my mind the ideal week would look a little like this.
2 or 3 days in Brandon bay.
2/3 days in Magheroarty
1 or 2 days in Mayo towards Belmullet or co. Sligo
We will have to be pretty flexible on accommodation. I will be booking us accommodation according to the spot location we will be aiming for. We will be sharing costs between the group (Split by 7 of you & Me)
Thinking it will roughly between 30 & 70 euro a night give or take.
In each place I will look to book us Airbnb’s fairly late notice and if not possible we have hotels (which for example in Magheroarty they do a windsurf deal for 60 euro a room)
I will be confirming a location during week before the camp begins. Whether you are arriving into Dublin, Shannon, Belfast ect it will be fairly easy to drive to our beginning location.
I am working on expanding my gear rental for the coming year. I will expect to have boards to rent in sizes 76L, 80,88 & 94L. And Hopefully have full rig’s to rent in most sail sizes up to 5.0. Which should make traveling easier for you !
The camp will require moving from Spot to spot depending on the forecast, So it will be important to have (or share) your own transport.
When coming by plane the best option will be to look for a rental van (it's cheaper than car rental) at the airport.
Please find some reference pricing below for 30+ drivers:
HERTZ VAN RENTAL: (vans are cheaper than normal cars & fit 3 people)
1 week rental : Small van €250 -€300
Big Van €300 - €350
If you are interested in sharing a van let me know and I can organise it for you
The level expected to join me on this week would be to have
Confidence in your own sailing skills. (I will be there with you but you also have to have your own ability to sail among head high/logo high waves)
launching through waves
Wanting to sail waves up to Mast High
general wave knowledge
Willingness to explore. Drive/Share driving
I would expect some surfing on this week.
The cost of the Camp is 550 euro per person.
This includes the spot guiding, coaching, accommodation organisation, clips of us scoring epic conditions and some great demo clips to learn with.
Some Video's of the conditions you can look forward to.
